The incumbent will be responsible for promoting the Companies’ Brand, developing innovative ways to pursue partnerships and business opportunities within the Financial Services Sector and creating innovative, relevant and captivating content for broadcast to the Companies’ public. 

Objective

  • Promote the Companies’ Brand by increasing awareness and knowledge.
  • Develop innovative ways to pursue partnerships and business opportunities within the Company’s Sector and beyond.
  • Create innovative, relevant and captivating content for broadcast to the Companies’ public using both Traditional Media, Social Media and other relevant media.
  • Enhance existing Companies image whilst developing new imaging as new products and services are developed/created.
  • Develop, support and execute all stakeholder engagement initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and implement Marketing and Communication Strategies for the Companies.
  • Prepare Marketing & Communications budget, manage and monitor expenses.
  • Coordinate and execute all marketing and communication operations internal and external to the Companies eg. Campaigns/events, roll out of new products or services, press conferences, listing of new companies.
  • Liaise with Advertising agencies on various projects related to but not limited to advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services.
  • Develop Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives with a goal always to increase brand awareness and its impact.
  • Research and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, new products and services etc. to assist market strategy planning.
  • Identify business opportunities for promotion and growth of Companies’ products and services.
  • Analyse the impact of marketing techniques and prepare measurement reports.
  • Research and prepare content and updates for publication for various media eg. marketing materials, brochures, press release, newsletters, Company Website and all social media platforms eg. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.
  • Interact with Stakeholders and vendors to promote and enhance the Companies’ market presence.
  • Speak publicly at interviews, presentations and conferences on marketing initiatives and products etc. as approved by the CEO.
  • Address enquiries from the public, press and related stakeholders as approved by the CEO.
  • Create a calendar of events eg. Dinners, promotions, exhibitions, product launches, workshops etc.
  • Represent the Companies at events as approved by the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, media and the public.
  • Conduct sensitisation sessions with the Staff body on new products and services.
  • Support Change Management initiatives aimed at increasing the adoption of changes internally and externally
  • Develops and executes Presentations for both internal and external publics as directed by the CEO
  • Perform other related duties which may arise from time to time.

 Qualifications

  • First Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communication or another related field or equivalent professional qualification
  • Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications.
  • Work experience at a senior or supervisory level with a minimum three (3) years of Supervisory experience will be an asset.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the Finance or Securities Industry.
  • Certification in Communications or Media will be an asset.

 Knowledge and Other Skills

  • Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite and
  • Proven experience with Digital Marketing and Communications
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of Social media platforms and Web analytics
  • Hands-on knowledge of Market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods
  • Sound knowledge of Marketing and Communication techniques and principles
  • Creative and innovative mindset
  • Confident and Convincing Communicator
  • Excellent written and oral skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a courteous and professional disposition
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Change Management tools and techniques, eg. PROSCI
