Aegis Biz Hour Series – Practical Cost-Cutting Tips

March 21, 2019 saw the return of a key event on the business calendar – Aegis Biz Hour Series – which regularly brings together business leaders from various industry sectors to learn more about crucial areas of business.
This installment was of particular importance as our esteemed Chairman Ms. Angela Lee Loy brought her wealth of knowledge and experience to bear on her presentation entitled ‘Practical Cost-Cutting Tips and Strategies.’
A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) with over 40 years experience in Audit and Business Advisory Services, Angela Lee Loy is the Chairman of the AEGIS Group of Companies and of recruitment agencies, Eve Anderson Recruitment Limited and Caribbean Resourcing Solutions Limited. She has sat on boards of public and private companies spanning various industries.
Ms. Lee Loy addressed a full house at the Trinidad & Tobago Coalition of Service Industries (TTCSI) of which she is a former president. Drawing on her business experience she discussed measures that SMEs can implement to shield themselves in times of economic uncertainty so that they can successfully weather the storm and emerge on the other side of the financial slump unscathed.
Her advice fell into four categories – ways to increase revenue, ways to manage expenses, financial strategies and workforce strategies – and was well-received by those in attendance who, during the Q&A session, seized the rare opportunity to get sage advice from a leader in the business community in an intimate setting.
