Vashti is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (UK), a Certified Internal Auditor, and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT).

Vashti started her working career in 1982 at the firm of Deloitte & Touche in Trinidad. She has fourteen years’ experience in the field of auditing and her clientele included both public and private companies involved in diverse industries, including financial institutions, insurance companies, manufacturing and retail operations.

In 1996, Vashti joined the national airline BWIA West Indies Airways Limited as the Director of Internal Audit. At BWIA she gained valuable experience in information systems auditing, financial as well as operational auditing in a complex, multi-location environment.

Vashti joined Aegis in September 2001 and is currently responsible for the operations of the Accounts Outsourcing Department which includes preparation of compilation reports, management accounts,accounting manuals, and special accounting related projects. Vashti's portfolio of clients includes companies in the energy and related services sector, manufacturing, distribution, insurance, retail services, NGO’s, and statutory authorities,

Vashti is a member of ICATT’s SMP committee and is also a member of the board of the Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
