Frederick Bernard is the Managing Director of Aegis Business Solutions Limited and is responsible for creating opportunities, to deliver the full suite of quality professional outsourcing services offered by the Aegis Group, to Barbados and the OECS as well as supporting Internal Audit regionally.
Frederick is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA) and a Certified General Accountant of Canada (CGA) as well as a member if the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados (ICAB).
Frederick has over 18 years of professional experience which extends both regionally and internationally. As a Senior Manager in various Big 4 accounting firms advisory services group his portfolio included extensive work in the area of outsourced internal audit, corporate governance compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance documentation. Frederick has a wealth of experience in the field of auditing and has coordinated and performed audits for several organizations within the manufacturing, retailing, energy and financial institution sectors. Some of Frederick’s most recent work includes the provision of process improvement, and internal audit services to Financial Institutions within the Barbados market.
Frederick has worked in both assurance and advisory areas and has made presentations on Audit and Corporate Governance related topics at the Caribbean Association of Audit Committee Members (CAACM), the Chief Audit Executives (CAE) forum hosted by the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and regional Board of Directors at the Caribbean Regional Technical Assistance Centre (CARTAC) forum hosted by the Grenada Authority for the Regulation of Financial Institutions (GARFIN).
