AMSL provided structure, drive, energy, change management expertise, innovation, they used information technology to the max, worked with all levels in the organization, and achieved tangible results – systems are implemented and everyone is fully engaged and on board: aware, wanting to, knowing what to do, able, and reinforced. AMSL are also very responsive, flexible, and thorough. They also provided a lot of coaching. My experience with AMSL is informed both by the executive coaching programme as well as a teambuilding session for the management team in Ortinola. The approach of the coach creates a true openness for expressing and exploring the challenges and issues of the organisation and the demands on management and leadership. The pointed questions the coach asks enable me to think about various other solutions and strategies that were not considered before. The teambuilding session was very well executed and our objectives were met in a way that not only made me happy but was described by the other team members as ‘the most useful event we were ever engaged in’. There were noticeable changes after the session, e.g. we started to communicate more openly, expressing ourselves in face-to-face conversations and barriers were clearly broken down. Somebody has put the graphical chart up from the session, to remind us of what we need to work on and what we are doing well. It focused our attention to the things that are hindering us and the strengths that will really bring us further.
