Aegis Business Solutions Limited (Aegis) was formed to acquire from PricewaterhouseCoopers in July 2001 its existing accounting outsourcing and corporate secretarial divisions which it wanted to separate from its core business of auditing.

The firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is well known as the leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Trinidad and Tobago. What was less well known is that over the years PwC had built up significant service lines in accounting outsourcing and corporate secretarial services. PwC provided comprehensive outsourcing services to many multinationals who did not wish to build a large permanent establishment, particularly in the energy sector.

In addition, PwC provided accounting, payroll and corporate secretarial services of all types to local clients of varying sizes. These lines of service have been acquired by Aegis, allowing them to grow without the inhibitions that were placed on PwC by the rigorous independence rules of the audit profession.

Our aim is to provide creative business solutions for our clients, where we will be considered their partners by being accessible and responsive. Aegis's goal is to develop and maintain uncompromising standards, yet be flexible in our approach to providing quality service. The company's view is that our technological infrastructure must be always enhanced to meet the needs of our clients.
