About Aegis | Vision and Philosophy

Our vision is to create a dynamic outsourcing and advisory service company that will be a leader in the markets it serves.

Aegis Business Solutions Limited (Aegis) was formed out of PricewaterhouseCoopers in July 2001 from its existing accounting outsourcing and corporate secretarial divisions when a strategic decision was made to separate from PwC's core business of Auditing.

The firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is well known as the leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Trinidad and Tobago. What was less well known is that over the years, PwC had developed its accounting outsourcing and corporate secretarial lines of business while serving several multinationals, particularly in the energy sector, who did not necessarily wish to build a permanent establishment in Trinidad and Tobago. PwC also provided accounting and payroll services to local clients of varying sizes within a diverse range of industries. In 2001, these lines of service were acquired by Aegis, allowing us to grow without the inhibitions that were placed on PwC by the rigorous independence rules of the audit profession.

Our aim is to be accessible and responsive in providing creative business solutions for our clients so that we are able to meet their changing needs and continuously exceed their expectations. The Aegis team therefore maintains uncompromising quality standards, yet remain flexible in our approach to providing quality service. Our philosophy is to build an effective long-term relationship with the employees and management of each one of our clients by working together as team members with the goal of helping our clients improve performance, profitability and shareholder value.
